In episode 5, when Noah meets Michael, there is a church in the background. An interesting looking church that made us curious about it and we had to try to find out where is this church located.

Analog Photography in Berlin

Tired of the digital monotony and seeking a more fulfilling photographic experience?

Late in 2023, I discovered a way to use 35mm film on a medium-format camera and was eager to try it out. I asked a friend to 3D print the pieces needed to hold the smaller film in place, and a month ago, I finally took my camera out to test this visual idea.

From Film to Zine

I began creating my analog photography zines when I recognized my desire to showcase my film photos beyond the digital space.

To start a new round of meaty burger places for our #52weeksofburgers, we went to Angry Chicken, a small venue in Kreuzberg. I won't lie to you all: this place caught my eye for the striking visual identity, the chicken wings, and the Korean food. The burgers were initially just an excuse to munch around this spot, but damn they proved themselves.

If you love exploring European destinations that offer more than just pretty postcard views like I do, I believe the coastal town of Varberg in Sweden, needs to be on your travel radar. But not for the historical fortress and beautful beaches that you can find there. Varberg is where you’re going to find a fascinating and fiercely debated piece of public art: the statue of The Woman With the Handbag.

Athens is so unique that we cannot imagine any other city where you can find an ancient roman tomb inside a Zara store. We expected to stumble upon ruins in Athens since it’s a quintessential historical city. But not in a clothing store.

What makes the Sternfahrt Berlin truly unique is the rare opportunity to cycle on roads normally reserved exclusively for cars. For one incredible day, major arterial roads, as well as sections of the A100 city motorway and the A115, are closed to motorized traffic. This allows cyclists to experience Berlin from an entirely new perspective, gliding along wide, open asphalt that is usually humming with high-speed vehicles. The feeling is more than liberating, a glimpse into what a more cycle-friendly urban future could feel like. Something that I see happening in Paris and that still missing in the political sphere in Berlin.

Whenever tourists think about Berlin architecture, I believe they picture two things in their minds: the modern glass buildings around Potsdamer Platz and the Prussian palaces and boulevards. But there is a massive residential complex in Berlin-Schöneberg that can tell a much more complicated story. If you are interested in history and architecture as much as I am, you shouldn’t miss the Grazer Damm housing estate. This is not a normal residential complex; this is what Nazi Germany thought about urban planning.
