In early September 2024, I completed packing my bike and set off from Berlin to Copenhagen. Several days and more than 600 kilometers later, I arrived in the Danish capital.

The year is 2019 and there is a kid missing in Winden. He is the person dealing marijuana to some of the kids in school, and nobody seems to know where he might be. One o the kids decided to put together a group and go looking for the stash of drugs from the missing kids. They follow some train tracks that lead deeper into the forest, while they go looking for a cave.

Winden, the city where most of the series happens, is not real, and you can find some small pieces of it in and around Berlin.

Far away from the tourists the flock Berlin there is a neighborhood called Kaulsdorf, and it’s there that you will find the lonely hippo known as Knautschke after a famous hippo that was born in the Berlin Zoo back in 1943. Knautschke has the entire Freibad Wernersee to himself but, when I was there, I didn’t see he enjoying much of it. Maybe it was cold; maybe it was the fact that the pool was frozen. Maybe he was just waiting for a time where he would have company, but this will, probably, never happen.

In January 2025, I loaded an AGFA 100 that was about to expire into my trusty Lomography LC/A+. I took it for a few walks around Berlin.

This one is from a bridge in the middle of a forest made famous in the series Dark on Netflix.

I'm not sure why I stopped my bike ride for this p

I'm not sure why I stopped my bike ride for this picture. Maybe it's the angle of the fence there or the fact that it leads straight into the water. I'm not sure, but I think I will never be.

In the summer of 2024, I thought it would be fun to experiment with some expired film in one of my cameras. I found some AGFA Color 200 film on eBay, which is famous for its bright and lively colors. I was really excited to see how it would turn out!

Someone is riding a bike around the long bike lane

Someone is riding a bike around the long bike lane from Baumschulenweg to Adlershof. I was going home and stopped for some water when I captured this one.

In the early summer of 2024, I experimented with some expired film in one of my cameras. The film I purchased on eBay was AGFA Color 200, known for its vibrant and saturated colors. I was curious to see how it would perform.
