Also, since this is the same abandoned train track used as a location in Netflix’s series Dark, we will talk about the hike in the forest, following the train tracks the connect the bridge to the church in Dark.

Exploring the Friedhofsbahn: The Old Wannsee – Stahnsdorf Railway Line

Berlin has a vast transport network composed of S-Bahn and U-Bahn lines that cover almost 500 km of tracks across the city. And the town used to have even more tracks, but due to political divisions, world wars and economic problems, some of those tracks were abandoned. One of those is known as Friedhofsbahn, and it used to connect Berlin-Wannsee to Stahnsdorf.

On the way between my hotel and King’s Cross, there was a park. A park with a familiar name but one of those names that doesn’t ring a bell but that you still think you know what it is. The park I’m mentioning here is called Joseph Grimaldi Park, and it’s named after the person that many consider being the world’s most famous clown, the great Joseph Grimaldi.

For some people, myself included there, Vysehrad Cemetery is one of Prague’s main attractions. This happens because this is the final resting place of a lot of the most important artists and thinkers from the Czech Republic. Including there Antonín Dvořák, Ladislav Šaloun, Bedřich Smetana and Alphonse Mucha, the main reason why I spent so much time walking around the cemetery.
