On the outskirts of Berlin, where Neukölln and Schönefeld meet, there is a hill with one of the city's best views. The Skypoint in Schönefeld is a man-made structure is built over trash, and we took our drone there in June 2021 to capture its beauty.

In 2012, Luka Magnotta murdered Lin Jun and released a video online where you could see him killing his victim and abusing his corpse. At the time, he was in Canada, and he fled to Europe. First to Paris and then to Berlin, where he was arrested. When we watched Don't F**k with Cats on Netflix in 2020, we remembered this weird story. Later, we decided to visit the späti where Luka Magnotta was arrested in Berlin.

The Britzer Muhle is one of the eight remaining windmills in Berlin, and it is the only surviving windmill that used to exist in Neukölln. Also, it’s the only remaining fully functional windmill in Berlin, and these are some of the many reasons why you need to visit this place.

Lenin statues, with some historical importance, were the source of some impossible satires during the GDR times. East German propaganda had something to say about this Lenin statue that came from Eisleben, Martin Luther's hometown in Saxony. We know for sure that this statue was made in 1925 by the Soviet sculptor Matwej Maniser and that it was the first statue of the Soviet hero standing in German soil.

My goal for Easter Sunday was to fly my drone over Blub and capture how it looks like from the sky. But, once I got closer to the building, I realized that it would be better to just enter the place. The holes on the fences are more prominent than before, and there were lots of people inside, taking pictures of the abandoned buildings and sunbathing during that lazy afternoon.

36 Hours in Neukölln: Berlin Coolest Neighborhood - After lunch, I’d take a walk around the area with a beer in my hand and explore the beauty of the Landwehrkanal that splits Neukölln from Kreuzberg. Very close to the Boddinstraße U-Bahn station is one of many Burgerzimmers around the city, the place is bigger than most and looks a lot like your regular donner shop. Neukölln is a weird place in Berlin. At first glance, the neighborhood looks like a clash of cultures or, maybe, the future of Germany.
